Jim Cheek – Leading the biggest sax store ever

The tenth episode of the Blowing in the Wind podcast is ready!

Welcome to another exciting episode of the Blowing in the Wind podcast! This time around, our special guest is none other than Jim Cheek, the Manager and Director of the renowned http://www.sax.co.uk. This website and specialist saxophone store are considered the most well-known in the world, and Jim is at the helm.

About Jim Cheek:

A British saxophonist with an impressive background, Jim honed his skills at the Royal College of Music and the Birmingham Conservatoire. Presently, he leads the charge at the world’s largest specialized saxophone store, boasting not one but two physical locations.

Beyond his musical prowess, Jim has a passion for cycling and a deep involvement with his family. Primarily, he’s a content and joyous human being, embracing a life centered around what he loves.

He loves cycling and he’s tremendously involved with the family. We could say that, primarily, he’s a happy human being doing what he loves—living.

In this podcast episode, we were particularly struck by a profound statement from Jim. He shared:

“I don’t think we should be stressed by

trying to sound like a certain person.

I think we need to be happy in our

skin and be content with who we are

as musicians…

That’s where the joy comes.”
