The Gap
A stage piano gets the touch right and never leaves the room. A cheap travel keyboard fits in the bag and ruins your technique. A pad controller does neither, and makes no sound until a laptop is open. Pro is the first that does all three at once.
01
Controller keyboards are built for triggering, not for playing. Synth-action keys at the wrong width, with no dip to speak of.
Keys built to Steinway grand dimensions, with the key dip of a grand and a velocity-sensitive keybed. The same board you practise on.
02
A 49-key controller is a case, a car and a parking space. The ones that actually travel are toys.
27 keys in a board that goes in a backpack, and independent octave modules that take it to 51 or 87 when the session needs them.
03
Pads on one box, keys on another. Neither makes a sound of its own, so nothing happens until a computer is open and configured.
12 RGB pads and a 2D joystick on the same board as the keys, with built-in sound when there is no laptop and USB-C MIDI when there is.
The Control Cluster
Six modes on the same twelve pads, and every one of them remappable from the app. Nothing to dig through on the hardware itself.
The four that run the take.
Play a line or a progression without leaving the pads.
A full kit across six pads, out of the box.
Click plus three directions, assignable to any MIDI CC you use.
Every pad is yours to reassign. The six modes ship with the layout above, and the app lets you send whatever MIDI you want from any pad. The six buttons beside the joystick handle the rest, so there is no screen and no menu tree to learn.
Why It Feels Different
Real Piano Touch
Keys built to the dimensions of a Steinway & Sons grand, with the same key dip and a keybed that reads how hard you play. There are no counterweights, which is the one thing traded away to make it travel.
See the SpecsModular by Octaves
The control end stays the same and octave modules click on, with no tools. Pack 27 keys for the trip and build it out to 51 or 87 at the desk. Octave transposition picks the register whatever you brought.

Anywhere
Headphones in and nothing comes out, so the carriage never knows. Built-in sound means it plays with no laptop at all, and USB-C MIDI picks the session back up the moment you open one.
See the PadsSpecs
Headphones in and it is an instrument on its own. Laptop in and it is a controller. Neither needs setting up first.
Headphones in means nothing comes out. Track at 2am in a hotel room and wake no one.

Reserve for 1 EuroThe 1 Euro Reservation
You are in the VIP Backers Club and you choose the perk you want held. Only 30 units carry the VIP price.
On launch day you get the Kickstarter link two hours before it is public, and you back the perk you reserved before anyone else can take it.
Your tier is held for you, up to 38 percent below the 479 € retail price. The euro is what guarantees it.
Four things, on top of the price.
100 percent of your euro back if you decide not to back the campaign, before or during it.
Our Track Record
Travel Piano is the fourth instrument out of the same workshop. The first three are already being played in homes, conservatories and hotel rooms around the world.
Ramon's founder story goes here. Left empty on purpose: the brief lists it as a slot with nothing written under it, and this is not the kind of thing to write on someone's behalf.
Your tier held until the campaign opens, the Kickstarter link two hours before it is public, a seat in the private build community, and priority shipping in reservation order. The VIP perk also puts the 45 euro earphones in the box.
When the campaign opens in mid October. You back the perk you reserved, at the price you reserved. Until then the only charge is the euro.
Nothing happens. The reservation is not a commitment to buy. You get 100 percent of the euro back if you ask, before or during the campaign, and if you simply do nothing then the euro is all you ever paid.
Both, and it does not need a mode switch to be either. The sound is built in, so it plays with nothing plugged in. USB-C MIDI and Bluetooth 5.0 make it a controller for Ableton, Logic or anything else that takes MIDI.
Yes. Twelve pads across six modes, and the app assigns whatever MIDI you want to any of them. The joystick clicks and moves in three directions and is assignable too. There is no screen on the hardware and no menu tree to learn.
The keys are full size and built to the dimensions of a Steinway and Sons grand, with the same key dip, and the keybed responds to how hard you play. This is not synth action. There are no counterweights, which is the one thing traded away to make it travel.
The Producer S is 27. Independent octave modules take it to 51 or 87, with no tools. Every price on this page is for the 27-key S; the larger builds are on the campaign page.
Pro puts 12 RGB pads and a 2D joystick on the keybed, for beats, chords and DAW control. Classic is the same keys with a clean panel and nothing on it to distract you, and 87 keys as standard.
By tier. VIP in January and February, Super Early Bird in February and March, Early Bird in March and April. Those windows are the campaign's own estimates and are confirmed on the Kickstarter page when it opens.
